Atollhop
Cookie Policy
A plain-language summary of the cookies and similar technologies currently used by Atollhop.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites function correctly, remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and provide information about how a website is used.
In this policy, "cookies" also includes similar technologies such as scripts, pixels, local storage, and analytics requests where they serve a similar purpose.
2. How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies and similar technologies as limited as possible. We use them where necessary to operate the Platform, support account and security features, and understand broad usage patterns so we can improve Atollhop.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, embedded Meta social widgets, or a custom cookie-consent cookie in the application code. If that changes, this policy should be updated before or alongside the change.
3. Cookies and technologies we currently use
Strictly necessary
Authentication and security cookies may be set by NextAuth on login, registration, password reset, and admin routes. These are needed to keep account sessions working and protect restricted areas.
Analytics
Atollhop currently uses Vercel Analytics through @vercel/analytics/next. This helps us understand page views and product usage at an aggregate level. The application does not currently include Google Analytics.
Functional storage
The codebase contains a helper for browser local storage, but no current public feature was found that stores custom preferences through it.
Social media
The application does not currently embed Facebook, Instagram, or other social media widgets that place cookies. Plain outbound links do not place third-party cookies on Atollhop by themselves.
4. Third-party technologies
Some technologies are provided by third parties whose services support our Platform. The third-party analytics service currently active in the application is Vercel Analytics.
If we add or remove third-party services that use cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will update this section and, where relevant, our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing your cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect how account, login, password reset, admin, and other security-sensitive features work.
Where a future feature uses optional non-essential cookies that require consent, we will ask for consent before placing those cookies and provide a way to update your choice where available.
6. Changes to this policy
As Atollhop grows and adds new features, we will update this policy to reflect any new cookies or similar technologies introduced. You should also read this policy with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. The latest version will always be available at atollhop.com.
7. Contact us
